Two types...

I have come to discover that there are two types of people in the world:

The sociopaths and the martyrs.

You see, sociopaths are selfish individuals who don't care who they hurt. Martyrs, on the other hand, will sacrifice themselves so that others aren't hurt based on the fear of becoming a sociopath.

So sociopaths seek out martyrs because they enable them. A martyr won't tell a sociopath that their actions are harmful. Nope. That might hurt the sociopaths feelings and hurting feelings is what sociopaths do.

So there are sociopaths because there are martyrs and there are martyrs because there are sociopaths.

My rule? Don't harm and don't allow to be harmed, especially yourself. Your actions should lay somewhere in the middle.

Gosh! Middle path?? Where have we heard that before?
