On Tuesday, January 27th, the Kansas Zen Center is hosting a class entitled Foundations of Zen. This is a basic introductory course to the practice of Zen in the tradition of Kwan Um (it's like the Japanese Rinzai only Korean). Zen is a form of Buddhism that focuses on practice, not on ritual or religious dogma. Therefore, one can be a Zen Christian, Zen Muslim, Zen Atheist, Zen Pagan or whatever!
The class goes from 7:00 - 8:30 and is a two-parter with the second part being on Tuesday, February 3rd. The cost is $20 for both classes. I would kind of like to get a small group together to attend. Let me know if you are interested and if maybe you know some other people who would like to go.
